Zel: Yes it is Tarin. If it's not then you'll be dead by now.

Hikaru: Sorry for the wait guys, we're here!

Zel: Ah yes, and let's get some lunch shall we.

Cris: Hungry.. huh?

Zel:.......

Zel opened a small door at the corner. There was a long rectangular table inside the room, with prepared meals on it. Zel sit at the farthest left side of the table.

Zel: Have a sit.

Zel: I'm Zel, 50 years old. Pure. I specialize in Pyro Magic but can also perform other types of magic like  teleportation.

Cris: I'm Cris and my family takes care of Zel's family. Kinda like a butler if you ask me. Except that we don't do house hold chores. We're just protecting and keeping them from harm. I'm a half. Specialization? Magic fields. Example of it is the invisible field. If I cast it everyone inside the field won't be seen by the others who are outside. There are some exceptions though. Zel can see me inside it even though he's outside.

Hikaru: Hikaru here is a normal human.

Cris: Pft normal...

Hikaru: Umm... I specialize with making weapons against uhh... magical beings. You recharge them with magic particles. There is this other type that needs a magician to chant some magic to a weapon and then after that it can be used to fight other mages and magicians even without recharging. And umm...

Zel: Hikaru the report.

Hikaru: Ah! About that, seems like the reason mages are looking for magicians and are kidnapping them is that, they are planning to summon one of the demon gods. Not sure which one.

Zel: As I've thought....

Cris: Demon gods? Are they insane?

Zel: Well yes, they are. And as for you guys ( ooc: talking to players) the mages are chasing after you. That's the main reason you are all here now. Except for Jin.

Cris: We have to stop them.... the mages. So we can't afford to lose you all.

Zel: Guy with Cris, I'm not yet hearing enough about you. Why are the mages hunting you down. To summon the demon gods, human sacrifice isn't needed.

Hikaru went beside Aya.

Hikaru: (whispering) Here's some dog food for the cute puppy.

"This may be out of place, but I thought I'd introduce myself as well." Jin said as he looked around, chewing on one of his homemade sandwiches.

"I am Jin. I am 18, and I'm just a human. I am a former mercenary for hire. I've killed my fair share of mages, magicians, and even just humans. I didn't care who. It was easy money. I quit though after only 3 years of hunting. I learned a very valuable lesson, and lately, I'm just wandering the world. I don't have much purpose, but ironically, now I want to protect as many young as possible. Take Aya for example. When I ran into her on the street, being attacked, I couldn't ignore it. One thing led to another, and now I'm here as a protector. You can all trust me, both as a person, and in combat. I can more than hold my own."

Jin cleared his mouth, and gave a look to all those in the room.

"I just want to keep people out of danger. I may be young, but war has aged me in terms of wisdom."

Jin moved against the wall.

"That's pretty much it. If for some reason you need to know something I guess you can ask me. I think you'll find that's all I know though."

Sairek wouldn't touch any of the food even if offered. He only looked down at his lap or his wooden staff which he was holding with both hands tightly. The end of the staff against the ground, and the head of it going over his shoulder. Sairek sat cross-legged. His head moved upwards however a tiny bit when Jin said he wanted to help protect the young. The child soon pushed himself up on to two legs with his staff; his shoulder didn't react this time. Sairek turned his back around on everyone; it looked like he was about to walk off but the child didn't make any movement.

After a few seconds, Sairek half turned his body back to the group, but his head looked towards Jin.


Sairek: ...Any... young person...? No matter what their blood is?


Sairek's red cape was keeping the shoulder wound still rather hidden. It was now that his right arm moved over, pushing the red cloth back away from the shoulder so everyone could clearly see the blood that was on his light blue shirt. He winced slightly at the movement and had to grit his teeth to endure the pain without making a noise. It surpassed in only seconds though.



Sairek: I don't remember anything about who I am other then that my name is Sairek, and memories from few years ago... I couldn't have been any older then 3 or 4 in those memories... Anything past that age is completely gone... It feels as if I just woke up only a few days ago, being chased since then until now... The ones who made this wound on me... I ran from my house... I don't know what happened to my parents...


Sairek turned his body away from the group again as he dropped the cape back on his shoulder.


Sairek: I wish I could have some identification to who I am... My... My surname, my race... blood type... my age... I would be even a little bit happier if I could remember my birthday, but I don't even have that! I've got nothing... I don't know what's going on... I don't know who I am being hunted by, or why I am being hunted. Is it because I'm a pure blood mage, or magician? I don't know. I just don't know!


Sairek slowly moved himself to lean against the wall, too exhausted from just standing for a few minutes after all he had been through. His staff dropped down with his hands at his side, gripping it. With his back against the wall, he was now facing everyone again. His emerald eyes were stern but still showed the emotional pain he was going through.


Sairek: My parents are probably dead, but I don't know for sure... So many questions... and there's no way to get an answer without risking my life for... I don't even know if I did something to deserve all this... I'd like to believe I didn't but how can I be so sure if I don't even know who I am?


The child soon let out a deep sigh, the emerald eyes closing. He cried silently, not even sobbing but the tears resumed flowing down his cheeks at a rapid rate like they had when he was alone with Hikaru.

Jin gave Sairek a handkerchief and put his hand on his shoulder.

"Anyone. That includes you. I know what it's like to live without a family." Jin said with a smile on his face.

"Aya, you, anyone. It's not just those without parents, but those who have been touched by the struggle you all endure. I don't care what blood you are, where you are from, your background, race, or anything else. As long as they do me the honor of respecting what I stand for, I will gladly stand by them. I'm kind of a white knight for the young I guess you could say."

His smile never faded for a second, "Think of me as a big brother of sorts. When someone wants help, I will gladly give it. Even if they don't, I'll keep trying to give them help."

Jin moved away from Sairek, and back towards his wall.

Sairek opened his eyes a little bit as he felt Jin's hand on his shoulder. He eyed the hanker chief with his watery eyes, and set his staff leaning against the wall as he took the fabric with both hands. Wiping his eyes with it. The tears however kept flooding out despite how much he attempted to dry them. Sairek sniffed his nose as Jin talked on and simply nodded slowly to what he said to him. After a few minutes, the water from his eyes ceased to flow, for the most part. Sairek held the handkerchief with two hands, as if it was a prized treasure.


Sairek: Th...Thank you.... mister Jin...



Sairek then grabbed his staff with his right hand, and held it across his lap with both hands as he stood. The child bent his upper torso forward, and bowed his head down for a few seconds before he bent up, and very slightly stumbled back against the wall.



Sairek: ....I... I have no idea why I just bowed like that... I... just felt like I should. Like it is a habit... something was nagging me to bow in thanks...

While the newcomers were talking to each other, Jacques suddenly lost consciousness.

Zel: Protective measures. I still need to investigate about him.

Seems like Zel cast some sort of sleeping spell to Jaques.

Jaques' body suddenly disappeared. 

The second Jacques' body disappeared, Aya dropped the sandwich that she was eating.

"W-What happened to him?" She looked at Zel. "Why did he disappear?"

Sairek: Protective measures...? You did that to him...? You're not going to do that to me either, right?

There was now fear that could easily be seen within his eyes. The child now gripped his staff with two hands once again with the handkerchief in his left.

Zel: Hey hey, you two, stop acting like I killed him. He's inside one if this building's rooms. Asleep. And about this building. I made this place and it's in a different dimension apart from the normal world. And unless you have my magic dust and the picture of the place in your mind, you won't be able to access this place. So yes, it is safe in here. And also I won't harm you unless you're with the mages.

Zel gave everybody a small pouch each containing the magic dust.

Zel: Just sprinkle some,the gate will open and you'll be teleported here. In case you're in trouble in the outside world. Or call hikaru to do it for you since she is actually "assigned" to do it...

Hikaru: Ahahaha.... umm, I'll bring you to the gadgets and weapons room  once you're all ready..

Tarin stated: "I see that makes sense" (feeling much more comfortable with his safety assured)
So is there something you would have us do? Make groups? "Whats the plan?" (atm)

Sairek glanced down at the dust, as he stuffed the Handkerchief away so he could probably use it later; knowing he will most likely cry again. He stared at the dust as he looked at Zel as he held the powder.

Sairek: But you don't even know if I am a of mage or magician yet... I don't even know that.

"I think it's a sign that they trust you... I know I do. I doubt regardless of what you are, you won't attack the people in here."

He looked at his own pouch of dust. He wasn't quite sure, but he placed it in his pack, knowing he'd need it, regardless of whether or not he liked it.

Sairek looked over at Jin as he spoke, he let out a soft sigh.


Sairek: But I don't even trust myself...


He paused for a moment, in thought.


Sairek: No, that's wrong... I do trust myself; I don't trust who I may have been before I lost my memory though...


Sairek managed to force himself to give a small smile.


Sairek: And... all of the spells that I do remember how to use, if I haven't forgotten any; which I am actually pretty sure I haven't, then that count was only four spells. And they are not very strong... Even if I was a bad person, I couldn't have done very much with these spells other then some vandalizing really... Also this...


The child moved the bag near the white jewel with his left hand. The powder glowed slightly, as did the jewel, before the bag with the powder was absorbed into a white light and quickly shrunk until it was no more. Sairek dropped his hand down.


Sairek: The jewel can act as a storage device; storing items; although it becomes as heavy as the items do and only things I can really fit into my hands... I remember that much about the jewel... I recall it being able to make a mana barrier from one of the few memories I have... But I had no idea on how to make it actually do that... It may have other uses; but I don't know them anymore, and I don't think I knew all of what it could do before I lost my memory. Nothing I recall brings it to being an item that can bring any sort of harm; only to help me. Protect me, even.

Aya took out the blue diamond jewel that hung around her own neck. She studied her reflection that shone in the gem. "Could this hold some secret power too...?" she whispered, more to herself than the others.

An image of her father struck her. Shaking her head to wipe away the bad memories, she said to Sairek so everyone could hear, "I-I trust you. I think everyone here does. I don't think, even if you were someone else before, you could want to hurt us now."

Hikaru: Yep, and I trust you too.

Cris: Me too, me too!

Zel: Yeah.

After the meal Hikaru brought you all in the gadgets room, infront of a glass case with cellphones inside.

Hikaru: Unlike any other cellphones, you can still contact people who are in a different dimension using these. Normal cellphones can receive a call or text from these but these cant be contacted with the normal ones.
(ooc: I'll introduce the weapons next, so we'll just need one reply per person with their cellphone of choice this time. It can be a real life model of cellphone or if you want to you can design your own.)

I'll just be using a Samsung Intensity 2.

I'll go with the Sony Ericsson XPERIA. (not phone I actually have lol)

Sairek looked at the cellphones with a curious look on his face. His eyes wandered from device to device, before looking at Hiraku.

Sairek: Does it really matter which one we pick? Is there any specific difference between any of them?


((I have never owned a cell-phone before; so I will just make mine up. XD))

Hikaru: Nothing really. You can choose any of them. Also you don't have to charge them, they'll charge by themselves using magical particles around.

Sairek: Well, in that case...

The child walked over to the collection of cellphones. His gloved left-hand wandering over to one that was a sky blue one. It was probably one of the smallest of the models, but almost the most plain looking. Looking like nothing more then just a piece of plastic that could fold up on the outside, but on the inside, it looked like a proper phone. Semi rectangular in shape, the corners of the phone were rounded.


Sairek: I'll assume most kids who at least look as young as I am won't usually have any cellphones on them, so I will pick this one because it's a bit more inconspicuous.
