I think we believe in a God or Goddess for the most part because it makes us less fearful of death. It satisfies a certain human characteristic of curiosity. What happens to us when we die? How was the Earth created? etc. It gives us feeble minded humans a sense of faith, security, and balance.

Blind faith isn't good enough for me.

I need some proof of god's existance in my life. It seems like every "miricale" or something dramatic in someone's life which causes them to reconsider their feelings on god is something that can be explained with simple logic.


It takes ALOT to believe in god, including dis-reguarding what we think we know about the world around us for blind faith.

While that's good enough for some, it's not for me.
