I'm slightly under-informed in this category, but from what I've heard Ed Reed is considered by some to be the best safety ever, and most feel that Polamalu is simply 'really good'. I'm voting Reed.

I say Ed Reed. For one, they play different positions. Reed is a Free Safety, Troy is a Strong Safety. I am a ravens fan, yes, but I honestly think that Ed Reed has enough left in him to make another three or four years, maybe even 5. Troy probably has more than that, but I am still going with Ed Reed.

I think they are both great players that are starting to be close to the end of their playing careers. If I had to choose one right now, I would probably pick Reed just because he tends to give up less big plays. They are both solid at their positions though.

In my opinion Ed reed because he has the skills to play sideline to sideline but he also tackles with authority. Troy Polamalu is faster but Ed reed is still a little better.
