I've played Phantasy Star Online. I use to play it online for the Dreamcast a lot (I also recorded me playing with others for the sake of memories because I knew Sega was going to be closing down that server in a few days), played it a lot with 3 other friends offline for the gamecube years ago, and have also played it for the PC online (private server). So I've played it on 2 different consoles and the PC and between the 3, I've probably put over 100 hours into the game

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest playing on private servers UNLESS, like me, you don't give a damn what the american gov't can do to you, or, you have a big button on your desktop that says "ERASE ALL INFO RELATED TO ILLEGAL THINGS". Damn you, CIA.

PSO's only good legit private server(I know, sounds dumb) that won't kill your dreamcast or computer is SCHTHACK. They even program new quests for you to play.

__________ While not approved by Sega, there is a step-by-step process to modify your dreamcast to download and add online servers. They are free of charge and you can connect with the hacking software through your computer connecting to dreamcast. You need internet and WindowsXP or lower. There are full FAQs to do it. PSO is online. Yes, it very much is, just not made online by Sega. They're all private servers that work perfectly normal like they would if you paid the $5 monthly, but it's free  . I can't do it as I have Vista.... Or did they make it compatible with Vista? Hm...
Anyway, David, yes, there are active servers of PSO made by other people. There are ship servers, that ball minigame, and everything intact.

Let's just say you'd have a better chance at TRYING to find me a Psychiatrist that wont instantly hop on a helicopter and suicide himself after he sees my records and the amount of Psychiatrists, Therapists, and Psychologists that rejected me. Well I could probably get a broadband adaptor for the dreamcast for $100 on ebay and I've already got the game so it wouldn't be to much work...would bring back memories. I have the game for the PC though so I'd be better off playing for the PC.

Same music? NOOOOOO, this music is repetitive and it loops, the music is about 30 seconds but loops for the entire game. Gets annoying. I like PSO better.
