Get cold, very cold.  Not cold to the point of sickness but shivering cold.  To do this take a cold shower, have a small fan pointing towards your head when laying down.  Get some warm blankets to cover most of your body and curl up in them.   In no time your body will relax so much it will pass right out.

The fan helps cool you off but also gives you more air to breath when you are asleep.  I did this with my little sister who had problems sleeping through the night.  I would give her a cold bath, get her into nice comfy pajamas, tuck her into bed, and turn on the fan.  After 5 minutes in bed with a cup of water she would fall asleep.  In extreme cases take a dose of asprin to relax your body.  (not suggested for the lack of sleep you have had).

It's annoying when this happens... The only thing I can do is just roll and roll and roll over my bed until the sleep comes.

Another thing you could do is think on something funny or interesting until you fall asleep.
