It'd depened what your school main servers were running and what access you have on the computers. Ultimatly, go turn of the power, because unless your school is retarded, no basic hacker person will shut down the server. People spend 3-4 years in university just knowing how to set up the server to prevent such things.

What im trying to say is, if anyone can possibly tell you how to do it, chances are the server is already patched. A hacker dosnt look at documents on how to hack, they find out how to do it by messing with things.

On that note, if you do hack your schools server, you'll most probably get expelled (I know I would have, so we never even attempted it). If your school is up themselves then they will involve police and they will make an example out of you.
