Rusty Hearts is a new mmo from Perfect World, creators of...well I don't know, I've never heard of them before Rusty Hearts.  It's a 3D side scrolling beat em up rpg.  Yes it's a mouthful but the combination works exceedingly well and makes a fun experience for all that are involved. 

GamePlay-

Rusty Hearts offers a unique game experience in that it isn't the typical side scrolling game.  It offers a 3D environment unlike most side scrollers which are 2D.  It offers the typical skill tree system that you'd come to expect from an mmo, tons of different costumes to customize your character with, and a healthy supply of weapons with upgrades available.  The mmo aspect is pretty fun.  You have the ability to join up with three other people in a dungeon or fight a total of seven other players in PvP with several different modes. At the moment you only have three characters to choose from.  Angela, the chick with the scythe, is the main magic user in the game.  She uses scythes and magic swords that don't really look like swords.  Frantz, the sword dude, is basically the sword dude, medium range skills and attacks...and half vampire.  He uses swords and axes.  Tude, the guy in the back, is the close quarters guy.  He uses claws and gauntlents.  Natasha or Natalia is the one with the musket.  Not much is known about her since she isn't playable yet.  She uses muskets and pistols.

Graphics-

This is the part where I act like a little school girl at a boy band concert.  I LOVE the style of this game.  It uses a type of graphics style called Cel-Shading which gives it a hand-drawn look.  If you ever played games like Okami, Windwaker, Team Fortress 2 each of these games uses the cel-shading technique.  Each character is unique, even the npc's, and each dungeon is expertly done.  There are very few graphical flaws in this game and that's while it's still in beta.

Sound-

The sound...isn't all that great but it isn't horrible.  There are times where you just want your character to shut up or find the town music annoying (sounds like elevator music DX) but then there are times when the music is amazing and fits perfectly.

Just an overall great game and I can't wait for it to come out of beta.  If anyone cares to start playing the game my name is always UndeadZamiel when I play.
