When I play super Mario 64 the screen turns completely black, and when I try what some people say to do,the game starts with a black screen!

It happens when I first start. Some people say to go to the menu and put it on default settings, but that only plays the sound not the picture.

N64 can be tricky here on Vizzed. The N64 utilizes high graphics so the Video Card and Graphics capabilities that your computer may have may not hold up well enough. For example, I can play a large majority of the games on the N64, but certain spots of what seems to be high amounts of graphics or pixels and they go black. Like when I play Mario Tennis, if I use a power shot or cut it, instead of a blue/orange trail behind the ball, I get a black trail. It all depends on your computer

Well that sucks because I have a laptop and you cannot change the video card in that. I guess I will just have to use a desktop.
