So we will have the first official Innocent Town Tournament (ITT) next weekend (this weekend is exempt because we just started IT).

Format - Catch the Beat! (we will use Taiko and original as demand pops up)
Date - SEPTEMBER 24th!

Requirements to join
Max of 8 players
If you join BE THERE or your spot will be empty. DONT MISS IT without giving advance notice.
Must have OSU!
Must be able to download a beatmap (If you can't we'll be stuck playing your maps, no thanks.)

Here's how I'm thinking it should work, but I'm open to suggestions and this is NOT set in stone.

We will have many weekly get togethers at certain times, but we will have one big monthly competition. This is that competition. There will be a number (probably close to 20-30 games, throw a number at me) of games we will play. Whoever wins a game will be given a point.

I'm choosing the songs I guess =| It makes sense apparently and is fair to everyone involved because some people can't dl. So I'll put the list of beatmaps and links to where you can dl the songs a week in advance. This will allow you to get practice on the maps if you wish.

Whoever has the most wins at the end of the night wins. The winner will be given a Viz prize.

Now, to ensure people sign up, you MUST put 5000 Viz in. This is non-refundable and will be used in the pot for the winners of the games.

5000*8 players=40000.
20,000 to first
12,000 to second
8,000 to third

(if by some chance I win, I'm no slouch after all... I'll be reimbursing some of the Viz to those who didn't place top 3.)

I am giving people time to suggest official beatmaps and I will have them all saved to my computer. When the time comes I'll just do random songs.

I want to join, but I have something to do on that date from 11 to 2 server time.

Yeah, what time are we playing this anyways? I've gotta do it before 10 PM PST (1 AM EST) because my headphones don't work and if I get caught playing this at night I'm totally screwed. Plus some people have to go to bed at a certain time so we wouldn't want to cut anybody off.

Also, I've got a really good idea. Why don't we make the host of the next tournament the winner of the last one, and so on? That way, we can keep things mixed up and styles will be different each time (unless the same person keeps winning ).

EDIT: How does 9 PM EST sound? I'm first open at 6 PM (which is is 9 EST), plus it's early enough for people that have to go to bed at a set time.

While this is a novel idea, and I'll probably implement it in the future, the hosts should be people who mod the forum usually, and I'll probably host it the first couple times out just so people get the hang of our organized competition.

Exactly. I don't want to hand this off to a random person who doesn't know the ITT system, and I don't want to host this every time out.

Not sure, but after 6 PM (EST) sounds like a good plan to me. 9 PM EST is good too, but I would probably go with 8 PM (EST) for me, thats my most free hour. Ate supper, and able to go online multi without disturbances...usually.

I agree with everyone else. Starting between 8 and 9 PM EST sounds like it'll be best for most people across North America at least.

Since we're working with Eastern Time, I'd say that I'd likely be able to do 9 PM and after on a Saturday, because I'll probably be done with dinner and dishes by then. Even then it's all guess and check until at least 10 PM.
