I have a couple of questions about images on Vizzed. Please bear with me, I'm limited in my computer savvy and have never been active on any other boards.
1. How do I use the image uploader when posting? (like to put a book cover in the ABC game.) Can I copy the images link to the box?
2. How do I personalize what it looks like when I post? Is it hard to make a simple layout?
3. Is there any limit as to what kind of pictures you can put? (Copyright issues? Ex. Can I use an image from a DC comic?)
4. Also on the left side when people post they have pictures in there. (other than a goomba or whatever.) How do I do that?

1. It depends on what you are trying to do. If you are hotlinking an image from another website, you will want to do this. |img|www.urlgoeshere.etc|/img| Replace the |'s with brackets [].

1 (continued). If you are uploading a photo that you have on your computer, then you want to hit the browse button above the text box --and do make sure the it is not too big, both file size and dimensions.

2. You can only have a custom layout when you become a trusted member. If you want tips for future reference, I can send you some help in a PM (private message).

3. I do not really know much about posting copyrighted photos on here, sorry. Maybe ask one of the moderators.

4. On the left side can be multiple pictures. The one on the very top may be the post rank. Yours is an octorok. You can post photos in what is known as the custom title. To do so, click on Edit Profile and Settings. The last possible photo you may be referring to is the Userpic. You can also find it in Edit Profile and Settings.

When you click reply in any of the forums, in any of the threads, while in the process of making a "post" aka reply on the left hand side there are some tags provided on how to add imgages and other things into ur post using BBCode.

Sometimes I would use to put in images.

mike345 : I am not to computer savvy, just learning this stuff.  What is that icon (the broken piece of paper)? How is it better/different from putting images on your computer and then using the browse function? (which is how I put the Hulk cover as my picture)

I was just trying to make an example I was trying to say

IronBars : Easiest way to post images is to type [ img ] (Enter image url) [ /img ]

P.S make sure the [ img ] image url [ /img ] are all together, no spaces. Same goes with posting links and websites/pages except the img will be replaced with [ url ] (Enter URl) [ /url ]. IT IS IMPORTANT for everything (the img and img URL) to be together with no spaces, if not, it won't work.

You can post any picture, as long as it's on topic of the thread and not inappropriate, for instance, you mentioned the Book's ABC thread, you can post any picture you'd like of the book, as long as it's the book you're talking about.

By the way, using Google Chrome is the best way to copy and paste the Image URL....I tried with Internet Explorer with no success.

REMEMBER IMG for images and URL for links to other websites. Hope I've been of assistance to you!

As far as copyright issues go, I believe that as long as you're not claiming the pictures created by other people as your own, you should be ok.
