I really love to see Jazz in my video games, especially when it has an improvisation part. The best thing about jazz is, there are so many genres in has, such as jazz rock, funk, bossa, latin jazz, ballad, salsa, swing, bebop, reggae, blues, fusion, and more. Sometimes when you listen to music in games, there's a chance that millions don't know it could be really jazz. However, sometimes people confuse smooth jazz as real jazz. It is jazz, but it's not the real jazz because it loses much of the feeling of the power true jazz has, especially in its ballad and bebop stage.

One of the best things about Jazz that pulls it apart from any genre is the improv section where the musician pulls out all the stops and solos to the chords played by the piano, bass, and/or guitar. One of the first jazz songs with a great solo that appeared in a game was Outrun, Magical Sound Shower. When you get into the middle of the song, there is a xylophone, or maybe steel drum solo that lasts quite awhile. Soon to follow after were more games such as Street Fighter Alpha 2's Zangief's theme which featured a sax solo. However the funny part about that theme is...I really can't tell what genre of jazz it is, so I say it's jazz fusion since it incorporates the a solo section with constant chord changes and etc.

I just love jazz, and I love to jazz up video game songs.

Just as a fun fact, did you know that the main Mario overworld and underworld theme are funk, especially the Super Mario All-Stars version. You can literally take the theme to a jazz band, and it really sounds like jazz funk, not to mention, Super Mario. Bros 2's/USA overworld theme was straight up jazz swing, and Super Mario Bros. 3's overworld theme was reggae. It's pretty funny when you look back at some music in the past and realize this.

Heck, I literally searched for as many songs as I could and created the largest playlist on youtube of video game jazz music.

My favorite genre is heavy metal music. Like kill switch engage, winds of plague, bring me the horizon, beneath  the sky. I also like rock, some rap, country, punk, pop, a little bit of everything. I like KMK and sub-noise records. tech9 is great too but first and foremost I love psychopathic records. ICP, twiztid, blaze, boondox, all of that stuff is the best. I'm a juggalo for life. I say this last cause I cant really put ICP's music into a single genre. I think it has its own sound that can be a little bit of everything.lol much clown love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite genre is orchestrated (instumental) music, like the ones usually used in video games.

I prefer Classic Rock such as Boston, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and ACDC. However I also like Green Day, the Clash, and the Sex Pistols, which would classify as Punk, I suppose.

I like almost all types of rock but among my favorites are metal, metalcore, rap rock and DIY rock.
I also will listen to blues, free form jazz, classical (especially the baroque period), some electronica, and flamenco and stuff like that.

I pretty much like a lot of them. I listen to a somewhat lot of rap, lot of R&B and Hip-Hop. I listen to a bit of rock as well.
