At the moment, I'm listening to Gnossienne No.1 by Erik Satie. His style is so calming and yet also gives me a sense of some eerie foreboding. I think it has to do with the way some notes are accented and also the peculiar timing of them. I am a firm believer that the space between music is as essential as the music. Strong, well placed holds and moments of air really stand out to me, and it's like I can hear the silence.
