MechaMento : I listened to some Aphrex Twin the other day whilst having my two months of musical madness, where I listen to just over 10,000 songs from a wide-range of artists, and genres, that I'd never normally listen to or haven't heard of before - or as it's actually known as: 1001 Albums You Need To Listen To Before You Die

Really good Afrobeat singer, it makes me wonder what sort of music is currently left untapped in Africa~

Not all artist make only one type of genre of music. If you looked at my work you would think I am a painter but I'm not just that, I am a comic book artist and a pastel artist. There's a lot of confusion about what  hip hop is and I hope this will clear things up for you.

 First off, Hip hop usually revolves around life and issues people can relate to. If I was struggling with money and I had dreams of becoming famous then I would most likely call a song rapping about the same issues as I'm going through hip hop. It's a life style and a social message. Hip hop and music itself is open to interpretation and to me there's no wrong or
right answer. There is no true definition to hip hop, if you were going through some life issues you would most likely like a song that is real to you. If someone was out there gambling and living the life that they always wished and they have a song that has that same exact life style then it's real hip hop for them. It's not for everyone because all of us grew up differently and had different issues. As the saying goes "Rap is something you do but hip hop is something you live"

Barathemos : Right now, I'm listening to "Kill Your Heroes" by AWOLNATION.

Currently I would be listening to the song "ISM" by Savant. With the release of Savant's new album, Protos, I decided to start listening to some of his older albums (even if thier only a few years old under this alias of his) so this song would be on his album ISM, oddly enough.

Listening to Sir Isaac Newton vs Bill Nye by ERB. It's my favourite ERB vid, and I've been listening to it all evening.

I'm currently listening to Roygbiv by The Boards of Canada 



A chilled masterpiece 

Right now I'm listening to Harder Better Faster Stronger by Daft Punk. I'm not sure if that's the actual name of the song though, because I've been told by other people that it's just Harder Better Faster, yet others have said it's Harder Better Faster Stronger.

Listening to Aural Psynapse by Deadmau5. It's a very chilling song, but also very beautiful.

I am listening to We Will Rock You by Queen right now. 

Right now, I am listening to the song River by AKB48, a Japanese girl unit singing group. Few days ago, one of my favorite dancers uploaded an old dance video of her dancing to the song, I went to see it, and despite being uninterested in AKB48, I ended up loving the song River. I've been hearing it since, and I am still currently hearing it.

The song I would currently be listening to is "Get Jinxed!" by Riot Games, forget which band wrote the lyrics and perfomed it for them. When Riot released the character Jinx in thier game League of Legends they opted for a music video on her annoucement page as opposed to the single page comic or series of art peices traditionaly used by them. It's a very energetic song that conveys the characters mania quite nicely. Not that this has to do with the song itself but the video was actually really well done. It used a mix of vector animation (maths to make smooth 2D animation) and normal 3D animation involving her character model and SFX.

Cid : I think I know the name of the song that you are referring to. It's called "Tribute" and the band who performed it is Tenacious D. It's a cool song but the video is even better.

Listening to Civilian by Wye Oak at the moment. It has a great theme but I'm not so sure about the lyrics.

Listening to Rock You Amadeus by Falco. This song is.......strange, but it sounds good.

"I Saved the World Today" by Eurythmics.  I think it sounds like a Bond theme song with all the trumpets and violins
