I also practice posting in Japanese on this site: http://mixi.jp/, but you have to be invited in. That site also has useful tips about the language. I've been a member since September 2006. Mostly I've been studying by myself (about 70%), I read whole books in Japanese now, play Japanese version games (RPGs), and can write a fair amount of kanji. The language is a lot of fun to learn. Any questions, feel free to ask.
