this mainly for those of us who don't have any pets for ourselves, but it could also be applied to those who want another.

If you could buy your own pet, what would be, and what would you name it? I'm referring to a dog, cat, bird, etc., but it could something else.

For a while I've been wanting to get a dog. A Blue-spotted Collie, male. I would name him Storm, after a favorite song of mine on one of my random techno CD called, "Storm Animal", by DJ Storm Animal.

One of my best friends has had one for around 9 years now. His name is Cloud (yes, after Final Fantasy 7) It's a good name, and when you think about it, it matches the gray, black, and white colors of his fur. I think Collies (and Shelties) are happy dogs in general, and I could have a lot of fun with a happy dog that's happy like me.
What do you guys have in mind?

Though I have two very amusing cats, there are two pets that I would really love to have. Firstly is an Alaskan Malamute (since I would love a wolf but I know they are too wild, and the malamute is the closest domestic relative). The second is a Maine Coon cat, preferably grey/silver tabby in color.
