I was a bit inspired when I posted elsewhere in this 'Pets' section to post a thread here. Here, I'd like you all to share with us the weird names you've given to your pets and also any naming patterns you've used when you've named your pets. If you want you can even share why you named that pet that name. I'll start and then the rest of you can post. Please don't be scared by the length of my post. I like to ramble on. Post as much or as little as you like. Have fun!





As long as I can remember, I have named my cats names that start with 'F' and end with 'y'. This has ended up in some weird names that make anyone laugh when they hear about them. Ok. Here goes. I've had, in order from first cat to the latest and not all at the same time, Flirty, Frisky, Fluffy, Foofy, and Fubby. Now, the reason I named a cat, Fubby, was because I couldn't think of what to name her. For some reason I couldn't think of a name like Fuzzy. My friend reasoned that because the kitten was chubby, I should name her 'Fubby'.



Another naming pattern I or my family had was the names of a couple of our ponies. One was named Lightning and the other Thunder. Thunder was Lightning's daughter. And Lightning's other daughter was named Strawberry. That's because she was black and white and my brother and I were very young at the time. We thought of naming her 'Cow' or 'Strawberry Cow' so my mom reasoned we name her 'Strawberry'.
