Honestly I do not care for football and I never have. I think that NFL players don't deserve 1/10th of what they are paid and that the owners are greedy pricks.

Growing up in the Los Angeles area, I have developed a special loathing for the Raiders because their fans annoyed the hell out of me. I also have a strong dislike of the Packers thanks to some bullies that were huge fans.

Now I live near Pittsburgh so it is "Steelers this, Steelers that" and while it is nice that they have a good team and are very supportive, I just cannot make myself care. I will cheer for them in the Superbowl or whatever, but that is more because I fear what may happen to me if I don't.

I was actually hoping that the lockouts that took place this summer would have cancelled the 2011-2012 season. With the U.S. economy crumbling, I would have liked to see what would happen if we did not have football to drop our money into. Besides that, I get ticked off with how serious many fan react, regardless of their team's outcome. Yes, I am talking about the riots that we hear all too often. Lastly, I love a good rivalry but it has to remain friendly.
