A Steam Friend of mine and I was having a conversation (more of an argument) on the Sonic Hedgehog series. It started with me just suggesting that if Tails could just betray Sonic and join Robotnik. Mobius won't even last 7 minutes trying to defend themselves from being taken over by both the forces.

It may sound stupid but for a fan-fiction idea it would actually give the viewers some fright. Tails is in such a position  that he could just kill Sonic in so many ways without putting in any effort. I am very sure after that Robotnik would let Tails join him with no hassle.
Knowing Tails, almost having the same skills as Sonic, could just easily betray Robotnik after conquest if he is really that greedy.

Robotnik (or Eggman) is too stupid and goofy to even think about stabbing Tails in the back after he joins. I mean what kind of sick-head actually makes very flawed personality chips for his robots and doesn't bother scrapping them ?
This will probably never be cannon unless the Sonic the Hedgehog series becomes more toned to a more mature audience, which will cause lots of real world drama.

Any thoughts on this? I am curious as to how Tails could possibility mess up. He would be like Dr Breen from HL2 expect he is not controlled by any combine.

(Like always, stupid fan-fiction ideas are stupid but hey, at least it gives something to think about) .
