I think it is on my end because I have never played these before. This is the message on the start menu-

You must press 'Reset' to start the game

Controls vary depending on game, since this is a computer based system,
it may use any key but Shift, Ctrl, Enter/Return and Spacebar are the
primary keys

This is what's displayed on the C64 window:

Controls: C64 uses your entire keyboard since it was a Computer system. Most games use the following (sometimes require numpad):
Arrow Keys / Numpad Arrow Keys, SPACE, Right Ctrl, Shift, Tab, Esc

At the bottom, this is displayed:

Additional Controls:
Ctrl+F12 = Full Screen, Ctrl+Alt+Backspace = Reset, Ctrl+W = Full Speed

If you can't see the bottom text, try setting your desktop resolution to its highest setting.

Although, I don't think any of the C64 games require reset to start, I tested roughly 5,000 of them when they were first added to the RGR and never saw that. Which game was this? The Atari 2600 emulator requires reset to start though.
