Even though they both can have the same power up and ability I will be rooting for Kirby, because Mario only knows fire ability while Kirby can suck anything like if its snow it will know how to blow ice or if its electricity Kirby will be able to use any electricity moves.

Even can inhale characters and turn into them like of course Kirby can inhale Mario, Ike, Popo & Nana, even Pokemon characters like Ivysaur in the smash bros game. That is one of the other reasons why I like Kirby.

i would have to say kirby because well like you said he takes powers of what he eats he can eat anything too and turn it to a weapon he can kill you with a napkin. lol.
