They are in the metal and rock community... but since you don't listen to those genres you would not know that.

I love Tool's style and Maynard's voice. Sober is probably one of my all time favorite songs and music videos because of how awesome it is.

Also, big fan of A Perfect Circle, which does share a bit of similar style with Tool aside from their vocalist.

Schism and the pot are good songs. I heard a few of their albums from beginning to end and they don't really do it for me. All sounds a bit samey (which is a bit of a silly comment seeing as I am a huge ramones fan)
