I don't know if its official or not but what I read they planned on putting weapons on the dinosaurs and that kind of defeats the purpose might as well watch transformers if that is going to happen. Who knows though, could be real or fake, with hollywood these days anything stupid is possible

JigSaw :   I read that two.  Turns out it was the original plan,but apparently Steven and Joe put a stop to that and now it's suppose to go by some virus script or something but little info has been give out, so we may just be surprised as to what ever happens.

I think that is a bit too predictable, in order to kill the dinos you must give them the virus unless the dinos have the virus? Not sure that would make much sense I mean your dead meat anyway if you come across a dino.

Actually the weapons idea is not really a bad idea in terms of Turok but with JP, that is a completely different story there. In JP2 at the end I recall a Trex in a city causing havok... whatever happened to that? Would be cool to see dinos invade our city but rise of the planet of the apes already went with that idea.

Perhaps they can create a story that involves all types of dinos, ones in the air, ones in the sea, and ones in the land and go with an apocalyptic type story that is bigger scale then the previous versions. If anything, I think it will ultimately revolve around some sort of government program. Most of Steven Spielberg movies or movies he is involved with have government in the storylines including ET, Transformers, Close Encounters, Minority Report and probably more. But yeah, we have not seen many sea or flying dinos at all they really need to put those in the next movie if they want it more interesting.

JigSaw : I agree they could make more of the dinos appear especially the sea creatures.  And I've great images in my head of Dinos with guns.  And I hardly would say I'd like if dinos invaded my city though.

Lets just throw Indiana Jones in with ET, Jaws, and dinos and you got yourself 4 sequels to end your career with a bang.

mr.pace : it wasnt so much boring as stupid.the characters attitudes changed for each book,and there was always that 1 dinosaur that had a baby stolen and could track it anywhere,leaving there others unguarded.thats not animal behaviour.and they always had some stroke of bad luck that destroyed all there stuff.and then theres the animals never giving up on hunting you.
Maybe a raptor thats not illoical but why does the t-rex leave the massive dinosaur corpse to chase the humans through the entire book.itd use more energy than itd gain from us.its like a lion hunting a mouse.
And what REALLY annoyed me was when one of them realises something but before just as they are about to say it a predator arrives,at least four times in each book.is badly written i think.

thenumberone :   I see.  I suppose it was to build suspense as for the T-rex hunting humans I only have one clue protect it's turf other than that I can't really find a reason as to why it would do such a thing.  Perhaps the one thing throughout the Jurassic Park series is the lake of reality.  I mean raptors run 70mph and the T-rex 20-35mph there is no way the characters should be able to outrun them.

Well if they say they are making a new Jurassic park then a new one may appear soon

I voted maybe just because I do not think they should make a new one. I just do not want them to make a movie that is crap. I mean what book would they base it off?

The reason that Jurassic Park three was not legit is because it did not have a book it was going of off. Without Micheal Crichton there is not Jurassic Park

billythekidmonster :    Exactly.  Hopefully Steven will make sure everything revolves around the original theme of Jurassic Park.

mr.pace : I doubt Speilberg will be able to work on it till 2013-14 considering how he's doing that Lincoln biopic, the Tintin trilogy if it's successful, the rumored Indy V, and a few other features that he's producing. And Johnston is probably gonna be doing the Captain America sequels right after The Avengers. AND at that point even if they do get around to their idea, Sam Neil is going to be old to play the character so they're probably gonna be focusing on Malcolm this time around. And seeing as Crichton is dead, that also cancels the possibility for a good script as well. I say just give the project over to Duncan Jones (Source Code, Moon) or the guy who did the hit indie flick "Monsters".

I do believe that it's confirmed. -sigh-

I'd rather it DIDN'T happen, though. =/ I didn't like Jurassic Park III. It was NOTHING compared to the first one, in my opinion. The script was very... meh. The Lost World wasn't great either, compared to Jurassic Park, but it was still better than the third one. Besides, like others have said, what are they going to base it off of? I think that that was the downfall of the third movie. No book. 

I might go see the fourth one out of mere curiosity, but I'm not holding my breath for it to be nearly as great as the original Jurassic Park. =|

On a related note, I wonder what Michael Crichton would think of this? =|

Who know's, there's a great chance that there could be....peoples fascination including mine will never die for dinosaurs. I think there should be another Jurassic Park movie, perhaps with a different plot, not with dinosaurs escaping terrorizing cities, either or is fine with me. I vote maybe.

I don't think so but anyway is a good idea
