I want to start collecting the Sega Genesis and I was wondering (A) Which Model to get (B) The first ten games I should get (Not including the Sonic games and Contra: Hard Corps, getting those by default.) and (C) Whether I should get the CD or 32X add-on first. I'll get them both in the long run.

Hmm...yeah just in case I would get the model 2 Sega Genesis so you can get the add-ons later on (providing a sufficient number of games on these two add-ons are in your interest to acquire). As well, you should try to consider getting modified Genesis so it has S video components (like Mark Bussler from CGR uses). Which add-on should you get first? I suggest looking at both library of games, and determine which one has more game's you're interested in. If can come across either cheaply prior, however, get it if you're interested.

Good games to get? Hmm...here are a few you should consider:

Revenge of Shinobi
Truxton
Thunderforce (any of the games)
Musha
Death Duel
X-Men (the best version of the game is on this system)
Samurai Shodown

I'm considering on hunting down the Sega Genesis and trying to find some good games on it...I also intend to review some in the future so...yeah, happy hunting.
