All the items in the item shop with the exception of a select few accessories don't do anything right now, technically.  They're all for the battle arena feature which will be on Vizzed (hopefully) at some point in the future.  There's no time estimate when the battle arena will be ready though, sorry.

Since this is a really common question, I'm going to close this thread before it fills with spam.  If you have any more questions about this, feel free to PM me.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
