Why do people badmouth this site (either offsite or actually on here) and then come back, post hundreds/thousands of times, or spend hours in the chat, or have a hissy fit when their account is banned?

When I was displeased with Vizzed I just left and that was the end of it. Now I can't say anything bad about it because I have no problems with it. The reason I'm here is because I find it enjoyable. If you hate Vizzed then why are you here? Why would you waste your time doing that? Seriously. I don't get it.

I've seen this behavior come from many people so no, you're not a special snowflake & this thread is not about you.

I've seen many people sign up and talk about how much they hate vizzed. I'm just as curious as to why they're here. But they just try to get attention so I ignore it. Really no point they'll just get banned anyways all you do is report them.

I have two words for this.

The person just wants to have the eyes of people on them, so they don't get buried below other more well known members I feel. They need to put themselves out there as the alpha, or the member that everyone knows. This is just speculation. I bad-mouthed this site once, but that was because I was pissed off at something on site, and foolishly said something in anger. I retracted the statement, so all is fine... but my best guess is that a person does it for attention if it is a recurring thing.

Leggy took the words right out of my mouth. If you bash the site in anyway and then just post and whatnot like you never said a thing, you're being an attention whore. >.>

I'll give another perspective on this (since I had one...)

Some people bad-mouth Vizzed not because they hate it but because they aren't afraid to talk about what is wrong with the board. That doesn't mean it's the smartest way to get things changed but sometimes pointing out the negative gets it noticed and changed. Sometimes.

I think some people go overboard with it and take it too far but I'm the first to admit this site isn't perfect. There are constantly changes and updates happening to improve the site. If people would relax and offer suggestions rather than criticisms of the site more would get done faster.

If you ran a site like this would you be motivated by complainers or by suggestions?

I think they shouldn't come if they going to hate they should shut up an take a smoke break

Who is the thread about then and how do you expect an answer if its not about "them" the ones you are targeting for an answer? This is one of the reasons why Vizzed gets criticised a lot. Maybe they get mad cause they get banned for expressing their opinion about the site. They are always wrong and you are always right...

Just because you hate something doesn't mean you will ignore it and hope it will go away. Most people who hate something go to great lengths to hate it and those who like something go to great lengths to like it. So really, this makes you no different then the people who hate Vizzed. It does not make you better then them.

Is it really wasting time? Not if you have a purpose. If you do not understand their purpose then you probably do not understand the product well enough. If you do not understand why someone would attack the site or throw a hissy fit then you probably should not be on staff in first place. You have to be in their shoes to understand why they do what they do and since you have never been there that is why this thread exists with you questioning their logic.

With you on staff and posting this thread questioning why people do what they do shows how disconnected you truly are with Vizzed users especially with a statement like this:

"you're not a special snowflake & this thread is not about you."

That right there really does destroy the image your trying to set upon the community. You are basically saying its all about me, I'm the special snowflake, if you get in my way I will ban you. This is one of the reasons why people do what they do on this site. Your special and they are not, its no wonder this site gets attacked and badmouthed constantly.

Maybe they care about the site more then you? If your account got banned would you throw a fit? Probably not cause you don't seem to care you are willing to just walk away and hope things fix themselves. That would be the obvious answer here. Maybe they see the flaws that you do not see and want it corrected. If you think they are are bad people to voice their opinion and then try to insult their intelligence with threads like this then I feel no pity for what tomorrow brings when they decide to up their game and do damage to the site. A pissed off user can make this site better or they can make this site a living hell; its your choice. If you want hell then ban them and make threads like this telling them how they are not special and that their opinions mean nothing to you. Tell them how they are wrong and you are right. Tell them why they are wasting time and you are not.

Maybe you should listen to what they have to say so you don't have to waste your time repeating history over again. You should be attempting to make them happy customers instead throwing a bag of crap in their face with threads like this.

I'll provide a perspective for you.

If I really like a community or a group of people and things change or things aren't improved, I'll make a stink about it.

Think of sports fans.  They root for their teams and when their teams don't do well, they demand changes, complain, and make a lot of noise.  They want their teams to win and they like their teams but they hate the failure.

I am a member of another website that is based off a strategy game.  It has 1000s of people who regularly play.  They went to a flash format and people revolted.  People quit, people hated the new look and scheme and people complained.  The developers tried the new way for a few months, saw a massive drop in player population and reverted to the original way.  People came  back.

Complaining is a way to make your voice heard.  When you're in a community, your thoughts count, especially if you're active.  If you criticize and back up that criticism with suggestions or helpful ideas, you're trying to improve your world.

But if you're whining to whine...  Well, all the tv I see is based on drama.  People create drama to validate their lives.  No one wants to just live happily ever after with no problems.

Yeah, I agree with Jigsaw with this, if you hate vizzed so much, then leave. You are not forced to go online, you can leave. :/

Some people just love to complain, like my father.

What it all comes down to is that people feel invincible behind a keyboard and aren't afraid to talk s***. No one knows who they are, where they live. You've pretty much got a ghost. That's why a lot of younger people do it.

Because they are immature and exactly like Cyro Xero said they feel invincible behind a keyboard, Everybody younger is usually a lot more confident and annoying online, As there isn't really any way to get physically harmed

some people like to complain some people are young and immature and some people actually have a reason to because they actually like the site and make a sttink in order to hopefully change the way thing work so they can enoy themselves again i can understand why they do it say if someone closed the chat room completley alot of people would be like I HATE VIZZED  why did this happen? this sux! they dont really hate vizzed they just dont like the changes and anyway i havent heard anyone complaining or anything like that in the first palce but if they do im sure theres a reason else its a waste of time sayign you hate something you dont

Yes, it is. I did that whole speel and yes it got a lot of people to hate me for a long time. I did say I hated Vizzed or something like that but I really didn't... I was stressed out and out the lowest time in my life and honestly extremely depressed. Maybe that is how the others are...
