I think Pikachu is way too overrated, even though it is Ash's first Pokémon, it is not that good.

I have to say typhlosion. So many of my friends want a typhlosion in real life. Until they gave up on Pokémon to look cool, all the ever talked about Pokémon wise was typhlosion. So many people on wi-fi use it. And the worst thing is, they brag about typhlosion, even after i beat them. I'm sick and tired of that name, ugh...

I gotta say the 3 Legendary Birds. Yes, they are epic to have, but pretty useless to actually use. Mainly because of the fact that they are at such a high level when you catch them. As everyone knows, I wild Pokemon at a given level is not as strong as the same Pokemon trained up to that level. Your own Pokemon are already stronger than them at a relatively significant lower level. Catching them at such a high level leaves you little room to train them to get stronger. You are better off leveling up your own Pokemon up to level 70 starting from a low level.

I think Arceus is very overrated because it is the only Pokémon that knows Judgement.

Pikachu is pretty overrated... Most Pokemon players I know would probably say the same thing.

Pikachu is pretty overrated. Its not THAT great of a Pokemon, its just everyone's favorite because of the anime really.

How can a pokemon be "Overrated"?? I'm interested in knowing how that works. Wouldn't all Pokemon be powerful or weak depending on what the person controls it does?

I know that some are more powerful than others, but I don't know how stats and tendencies can be overrated.

In terms of popularity, Pikachu is the obvious answer I think. Everyone and their brother knows who and what Pikachu is. Tons of girls who say they love Pokemon can only name a handful, and the first one out of their mouth is usually Pikachu. :/ Or out of anyone's mouth that doesn't actually play/watch, really. 

But in my personal opinion it's Lucario. Holy crap, why does everyone think he's such a boss? He even got his own movie, and replaced Mewtwo in SSBB. ( I know he didn't actually replace Mewtwo, and they were planning on putting Mewtwo into the game later but scrapped the idea, but his move set and play style are too similar not to compare) I just don't get the hype. ._.

No offense, but I kinda have to go with Pikachu on this. Ash still keeps that pokemon around all the time. The least he could do is evolve it, and since when are pokemon allowed to even make such decisions. IF I WANT TO MAKE YOU INTO A RAICHU THEN I'LL MAKE YOU INTO A RAICHU. No questions asked. Not only that, but Pikachu is only SOMEWHAT useful in the beginning of a journey. Towards the end, I can't possibly see how Pikachu holds out that long in battle. Ash always wonders why he's never won any of the Championships, and the reason is because he's still hanging on to a pikachu. Without a doubt just about anyone can replace that thing from Electivire - Eelektross, etc. It mostly made me mad on the last championship when they tried to make it out like pikachu went head to head with latios. What was the company thinking? Everyone knows that Pikachu should've clearly been knocked out within the first two hits. There's no way that pikachu's electric attacks did all that damage to Latios. Not only that, but in the end, Pikachu should've been blown away during the collision between Latios' Luster Purge and his Volt Tackle.

Blissey.... Tons of HP+ruffles.... but for some reason its the wall to end all walls, you can negate everything it does with a shell bell and aromathereapy, or heal bell.... Hate that stupid thing

I would say that Magikarp is the most overrated pokemon, because there are some pages and websites dedicated to Magikarp. Those who hate Magikarp call it 'MagiKRAP' and then they get insulted by those who like the pokemon. So yeah, I don't have the links to the websites dedicated to Magikarp, but I think you can search for them. 

I would say Rattata, because u see one in every route if not every trainer has one I bet
