I'm voting for the seventh generation because I love the Xbox 360 and Wii. Even though this isn't up there my favorite system from the 7th gen is defiantly the DSi.

For me actually Generation 1 - 4 are my favourites.

From the 5th Generation maybe the Playstation and that's it.

I really till today enjoy playing more SEGA and SNES stuff, then the new Generation games. Well okay, i play computer games. But when it comes to consoles, the old ones where the best !

The only games i played from the new Generation platforms was Mario Kart ( but not on Wii ) and Halo 3 for XBOX 360.

Old games were simple. Simple graphics / story and easy to play.

On the new generation consoles you have like to many buttons and combinations and whatever.

I miss the old Sega Mega Drive days where you could play a game in 2 or 3 hours and with only 3 buttons and move from left to right.

It's hard to say which I prefered, but I would say the 16 bit era was my favorite (because of games like Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Zelda ALTTP and Super Mario World), but not by far.

I liked it when 3D games only just came because the games were perfect plus some games were still 2D and that is special.
However there is a new game company named: 2D Boy.
They are bringing 2D back to gaming as an oath. As with a quote: "3D only hurts games whereas 2D is the future."
And I agree with it. While most 3D games are great 2D games have generally been better.
And I am making a game that is completely 2D!
I think a lot of people will learn a lot from 2D boy. Whats your opinoin on that?

i mean really there are sooo many classics for this console...but of course gotta love me some n64 i mean really ocarina of time is the shiz and goldeneye...i wish we could somehow rig the n64 up online to have big battles...but u cant forget some NES action either i dunno but i still think SNES is the best i mean come on classics like Lost Vikings???

i remembered a little from the third generation, you know contra, super mario bros, motocross , macross,super battle, etc etc. the fourth generation was a fantastic, strider on the genesis, actraiser on the snes, and many more, but to be honest my favorite generation is the fifth , saturn specially for his arcade perfect fighting games(my beloved Marvel Super Heroes and X men children of the Atom) and many 2d games(Darius Gaiden, Guardian Heroes, Castlevania SOTN) it has, psone was a good on 3d so crash bandicoot,ff7, resident evil and Ehrgeiz will forever be in my mind and finally the 64 monster console N64 to be precise, games like banjo kazooie, star fox 64, and my most favorite title of the saga Castlevania 64 are masterpieces beyond time.

i liked the n64 era gotta love that mario kart, perfect dark,007 golden eye,heck even glover wasnt all dat bad for a puzzlish game.
Both thumbs up for 64 era they did awesome with the controls and expansions.

I live thouth 7 and 8th era but I played all games form every era
and I have to say the gamcube was the best

8th lack my likeness of gameplay even thouth the grpahics are a bit realic I love non realic games and I pick 7 era
but there is also a 6 era witch I really like
3,2,1 I dont think those games are "FUN"
4 and 5 are really good and they have better grahpics then 8 era 16 bit beats games that look like real life
I pick the 9 era if it dose exist because nintendo's getting better and better while sony and mricosoft are becoming a cat

sonic heros the 1st 3d game thet I really find cool and awesome (i heavent find out about mario when I was young and the 1st sonic game i play is sonic 3 or 2 on real arcde they dont put sega games anytmore and I have a rip version on xbox for sonic heros no talking and cutsnces so I didnt even know how they sound like)
now the nintendo 64 good games but not many super mario 64 was better the LOZ OOT (sorry guys) but my fav RPG of all time is on that consle PAPER MARIO mario kart then was really wall done unlike mario kart wii (stupid pointless powerups) SNES time thats the gen that kinda sacre me I mean giygas WOW I I mean WOW just WOW not POW but WOW the dreamcast was awesome sonic advnture 2 (never played it and I really want to give it a go) was the best its pet chao system is the best its neven better then nintendo's nintendog sonic advnutre 1 (i give DX a go on PC) was really neat for a 3d game

I'm going to have to go with 1993-2002, being that I was born in 1994, and started to actually play video games in late 1999. I liked the older systems a bit more, just because that's what I grew up with. (N64, GBC, and SNES.)

So many memories.....

I voted for 5th gen even though it was a tie with 4th gen. The game systems usually belonged to the family but the N64 was the first system I personally owned.

The way everyone talks about the Dreamcast makes me want to try it. I've never played on that system before. I've played ports though.

i think the fifth gen was a good decade for console they moved from 2d to 3d

The fifth generation is by far the best of the gaming generation. The Nintendo 64 AND the Playstation? How could it get any better haha... Nostalgia

Definitly fourth generation for reason being that thats when I became a gamer. And loved it. That was when gaming became huge and plus there were a library of great games that i still play on vb.

It was a tough choice between third and fifth. I grew up on the NES, and I really love the classics it has, but I've played a wider range of games on the Playstation than on the NES, so that's what won.

I think the sixth generation is the best becuase the GameCube and the Playstaion 2's games are awesome.

I like most of the generations. It is hard to pick. Each one has games I like.
