PlayStation Plus is a paid PlayStation Network subscription service. These games, all told, are worth $349.51, averaging $7.13 per free game. The 17 PSN games were worth, on average, $11.52 each ($195.83 in total), the 21 Minis are worth $3.61 each ($75.79 in total), and the 11 PSone Classics worth $7.08 each ($77.89 in total).

If you were to only focus on and download games that were given for free and you had a 12-month subscription at $50 a year, you'd have the capacity to get around seven times the value of the price of admission. And that doesn't take into account anything else that's offered.

but mike you would have to be downloading all the time and not have anytime to play plus most add ons take along time to download
but its interesting that sony wouldn`t realize that they could lose abunch of money a year on that

I feel that Playstation Plus is a great subscription service or those who can afford it as it offers a lot for a fair price as does Microsoft with Xboxlive, though for PSn users online mulitplayer is already free, you're just getting more services and discounts & free stuff. I will probably get it for some time when I can. Now Playstaion users have some thing to equate with xbox live, "so to speak"

hnnn : most people wouldnt get many games,if they get them free/discounted theyre more likely too.plus once your ps expires,you cant play them anymore.

I think this is uncomparable to live because its optional and you get perks..

I was extremely skeptical when this first came out. I thought that it was kind of dumb, but then I tried it. There's automatic updating, free games/movie rentals, huge discounts and access to games before anyone else. 

The fact that I paid $18 for three months and got $35 worth of free games in the first week, it's so worth it. It pays for itself.
