I know with the Matsuda method the chances of hatching a shiny are a lot higher, and yet I've been using a Japanese metagross and a English ditto for a week now, with over 700+ eggs with no shiny.

Is it possible I'm unlucky or could a Pokémon being non-legit ruin the chances of shiny?

Just for future reference, having a breeding Pokemon that's hacked doesn't affect the IV's of future eggs. Since whether or not it's shiny depends on the the IV's, so a hacked Metagross won't screw it up.
