I always liked ditto but it's sort of useless as a fighter, you basically just have to hope that the other person has a pokemon with a lower level than your ditto, which isn't the case if all of your pokemon are at max level.

Ditto is a pretty bad Pokemon to use... Unless it's against a Drafon Type Pokemon or some other that gets affected badly by it's own type, there's really no point in using it, Nya~.
Although, one other good use is for when you're against a wild Pokemon that you don't want to lose, Nya~.

I hate using Ditto. Its such an unoriginal pokemon, I mean why can't it learn any other moves other than transform? I mean common copying another pokemon's move list is just so unoriginal. Its like arguing with your younger sibling and then him or her mimicking what you say. I only use Ditto to breed rare pokemon.

I mean I have seen Ditto and, yes he does have a wicked power to transform into, virtually, anything it pleases, and is pretty cool to use, but I don't really see it as a favorite and I'm not so sure if I would want it to be on my team. Because in the Pokémon series, once a Ditto transforms in battle, then that's what he is going to stay as the rest of the battle. Sorry, but in my eyes, Ditto=worthless.

With Ditto, you can't look at it from a battling point of view. It has no worth there really, since even against Dragon Pokemon that Dragon is most likely going to have way better stats.

But if you expect a fish to climb a tree it'll always be called stupid. Ditto is a pure breeding machine. Its very purpose is to breed.
