I pick Yoshi in every single one of them. I believe Yoshi always has the fastest, if not one of the fastest acceleration stats. He has decent turning as well; it's not very often you will get bumped by someone if you're in first after all.

For me it's Yoshi because his special in Double Dash was a good item practically guaranteed hit, plus it drops items, it's up to u to take em or avoid them. I like the way he handles, top speed is less, but being able to drive well takes care of that, anyone know a character who can go real fast and have great control on sharp turns? In double Dash car stats weren't so true to actual gameplay I'd say though.
