I encountered this problem a few times already, and this time really did it. While I was in the middle of typing my review for Bubsy which I no longer feel influenced to do, I perhaps must have backspaced at the wrong moment when I was no longer in the type mode. I go back to the page to finish typing only to find out that everything was erased and I'd have to start over again writing 6-8 paragraphs as to how good of a game Bubsy is. And I totally would have saved my work, but just as I was about to, I left the page using the back command on the keyboard accidentally. If this problem would please be addressed, I'd see the light of day even in the night and typing reviews like I do would be heaven. I only hope to become apart of the game reviewer staff, but I need a little more safety to work first.

Do you have the problem still if you click the link to switch to the old post editor?

The link to the old post editor? I am still new to this site and I'd like to know what that is. If I learn of what the link to the old post editor is, then I will go to find it and give it a try. But I received help from Davideo7 to copy and paste from Microsoft Word. Thank you kindly for your help, I promise to be more careful from now on as to be a burden to the site. However, I am interested in learning of the old post editor link.

You can find the Old Post Editor next to the Submit and Preview buttons for you post. It will be in green letters. The Old post editor does not have all of the features that the newer one has (I have not bothered to try them all). You can still make smileys like these and others.

I actually had a problem the last time I copy and pasted from Word Document to the New Post Editor. The font size maybe different and register the words with an incorrect count. So if I were you, I would copy and paste into the Old Post Editor. Just a suggestion.

The old post may seem to be very uncool stuff, but it is very easier, i use them everytime. in fact, I don't like the new post because it cause a little lag though.

Shogun Gamer : It seems David gave you good advice already, but I'll reinforce that by saying it's always a good idea to copy large amounts of text while typing up a lengthy post. I do this all the time, pausing to copy my entire post and then continuing. Because the last thing I want to see is 10 minutes of typing disappear because I hit the backspace and somehow instead of deleting text it goes back a page. It's happened to me a couple times in the past. Now, whenever I accidentally go back a page and return to missing text I simply paste it to the text field and lost only the data not copied after the last.

I especially copy text right before clicking the submit button. I don't know about you, but I've had it happen several times when a page wouldn't load properly and I've had to go back to resubmit, but the text would be gone. That's also pretty devastating. Again, it's happened to me, so I started copying the whole post before sending it out. That way if a page load error does occur and there is no text to resend I can simply paste it back. Firefox is usually good about saving text when trying to return to a previous screen. Usually.

Still, the best way to go about this is to type a post in a program like Word or Notepad first, as David suggested, and then copy it to the actual post. Hope that helps.
