Lots of members already know that I've been attending university courses for 4 years in order to become a greek teacher at a primary school. I've been through many things these 4 years. I've asked and achieved through hard work to get transferred from a small university to a better one, then I had to do extra courses, because the better university didn't want to equalize all the courses that I passed on the other university, so I had to pass lessons from 4 years in a 3 years period. In other words, I had to bury myself in tons of books

But yesterday, I found out that I passed my last lesson! I was worried about it, because I wasn't sure if I did it well, but I got a 9/10, in the end
If my calculation is right, my university general degree is 9,01 (note: the perfect score is 10, but I've never said I'm perfect,lol).

I feel that a huge chapter of my life is over now. Till now my priority and most wanted goal was to graduate from university. So I feel very glad and cheerful, because of that, but there is also a feeling of emptiness, because I haven't though of what I want to do after I graduate.
Probably I'll start searching for a job as a teacher during next September, but I'm a bit worried, because unemployment is very high here

Let me be the first to commend and congratulate you for graduating!!! All that time spent and hard work finally paid off...I know you must feel relieved, lots of pressure lifted off your shoulders. I'm proud of you and wish you the best of luck in your future goals and endeavors.

So...is Greek really as difficult to learn as it sounds?

For me Greek is my first language, so it's not very difficult for me, actually it's the language to which I'm more fluent.
But Greek has a different alphabetic system, so for people who try to learn it as a second language is a bit difficult. Also, we still use words from ancient Greek times (I've also learnt ancient Greek language too in high school), and ancient vocabulary is more elaborated than modern Greek, so probably that's the reason people think it's a "difficult" language.

But, personally, I think that if you're keen on learning a new language, you'll be able to learn it. All you need is to be patient and study willingly

Btw Ken, if you ever need a short translation from Greek to English or the opposite (not to long though, because I'm lazy), feel free to ask me

Congratulations noelia!    One chapter ends while another begins.  But do not let this discourage you.  Instead, let your experience in university remind you that you can complete what you put your mind to.  And you did this at a faster pace than I would have done so.  I do not know if I had said this before, but I am in the middle of repeating one of my classes... for the second time.  So to complete four years of studying in only three is beyond my comprehension right now.  

I wish I had a suggestion for what you can do with your new knowledge.  Still, I am sure you will find something.    Again, congratulations.

That is excellent, congratulations! I still want to learn Greek... and ancient Greek... among others. I still have a year to go for my Masters and teaching credential so I am kinda envious, but at the same time I know the feeling of being done... wonderful, isn't it?
