So has anyone ever been to a live concert? Just a couple days ago I was, but it was completely unexpected. My brother called me Monday afternoon saying that there was a concert out in Philadelphia, and one of the bands did not receive their expected shipment of CDs to sell. They called businesses everywhere and the one my brother works part time for was the only place that had any that could be spared. My brother was the only person available to deliver the CDs, and in return he was allowed to get into the concert for free with any friends he could invite.

My brother was so thoughtful to think of me before anyone else --he knows well that I love music. He also got one other friend of ours to join. Our entrance to the theater felt like something out of a movie. We could not get in through the front door, so the booking agent or stage master (whatever his important position is) came out front, handed us staff tags, and lead us around the block to a back alley.

Although it felt like a hello/good bye moment, we did get to meet the band for a few minutes before they performed. The lead singer shared with us a few facts that he knew about Philadelphia before singing off on the CDs so they could be sold.

We were able to stand in a pretty goo position near the stage. The lead singer went crazy, climbing up the speakers so he could get to the upper decks of the seating. I have not had an amazing time like this for years. God knows I needed it. Oh, did I forget to mention the band was Switchfoot? Also, those CDs they needed were copies of their newest album which was released just yesterday! They were selling CDs that were not officially released!

Nope, I've never been to any concert. This thread seems kinda... Dead. We need more topics to choose from ASAP.

silverthundr : It depends on what you consider a good game. I have not been playing many games lately for one of two reasons. 1) My laptop is borderline incompatible with them. 2) It just hasn't been holding my interests much. Because my laptop is utter crap, I have stopped playing playing Need For Speed World and Team Fortress 2. I did come across an interesting game you can download. Its theme is Team Fortress 2, but the gameplay is like the classic side-scrolling arcade games --called Team Fortress Arcade of all things. The only other games I have tried within the past few weeks are Pokemon games that I could only get by downloading ROMs, so I doubt you would be interested. The most game-related stuff I have been doing lately is posting on Halolz.

Okay, so what did everyone do for Canada's Thanksgiving Day/Columbus Day? I actually spent it doing work for an English assignment, and I am glad I did.

I find I don't enjoy a lot of the games I come across now. I tend to look into the past and play some older games that I know and love than get into anything new.

I tried some newer zombie game (Dead Island I think) and while it wasn't a bad game I found the controls to be so random and choppy seeming that I couldn't stand to play it. Plus it's in third-person view so moving around really sucks.... and camera views were never helpful.

Me either, however I've been playing lots of Gameboy games here recently...it's weird because normally I dislike handheld consoles and games.

Right now, I'm playing an Avatar game for Gameboy Color I believe, in the Retro Game Room. It's kinda like the Pokemon games, in the sense of a walking adventure.

PS- I heard Dead Island is the most addictive game in the markets now!

Yeah, same here. I tend to play more of the older games than the newer ones, mainly because the new ones are expensive as shmit and take a while for the price to drop. =P

YourMajestyKen : I imagine playing it with a group of friends would be really fun.... but playing it alone it was kind of boring.

I don't like games that are only fun if you have a group to play it with. I'm not much of a social gamer.

@Geeogree - Me either for the most part...I'm more of an Arcade fighting versus type of guy. Marvel Vs. Capcom, DC Vs. Mortal Kombat are my most favorites.

A lot of newer games I find stupid There are a few nice ones though.

I like playing games by myself, but I like them a lot better with others. I really am a social gamer, because I usually only play games to socialize
