i would've hated 3d pokemon, mostly because A. on the 64 and GC, it took WAAAY to long to attack... cause of the dumb 'ow i took damage, now to inch slowly back to my spot' and 'Attack pose!!@11' Animations... frankly a repetitive crash / sligthy different crash for super/half effective attack is way better, in terms of time, that and the 3d pokemon weren't all too attractive to begin with

the actual voices would've annoyed me, that and they'd have to make new sounds for the 100 they haven't covered in an episode, but (i'm not sure if they have, on on the actual bits) they should change the sounds from the 8 bit gnashing of computer noise it's had quite similar throughout the series, 16 bit would be appealing.

i like the retro movement too but @ least the graphics aren't too retro, very sharp and modern actually


and yeah 2v2 battles were in the previous 1 (Earthquake + surf FTW)

It's all personal preference too I suppose but IGN basically had the same complaints as I did.

Besides the things I didn't like though, there's a ton that I do like about the game so far and it's very addictive.

I have a lot of questions for the online feature:
-For wifi, do you honestly need to buy the adapter?
-If I have to buy the USB adapter, where do I connect it to?(I had one before and I got a "internet sharing error", and I lost it)
-Could someone give me a step by step guide on how to set up the USB if I must use it?
-If there are any other ways to get online besides the USB and McDonald's, how do I set up the connection without a wireless router?
-Do I NEED a wireless router, or will the cable modem work just as good?

You need a USB wifi thing or a wireless router.

Awsome! MichaelVash also recently got the game, so that makes 3 people on the board with the game. I've only got 3 badges so far, I haven't put that much time into the game yet due to work and other things, but I'm working my way thru the game either way.

It's very rare that I'm having internet problems, so that will probably be the only time that happens. Also, I didn't think of it, but I could've connected to my neighbors connection.

I meant to tell you. Charmander is around level 12 so you will need to see him soon.

I beat the first gym handily last night. Most of my main pokemon are at least level 8.

I can catch you an Onix if you like, but I'll need Poke balls to do it.

Ok, tonight if your still up maybe we'll try playing. If you do have to evolve charmander, dont let me hold you back, but if you want to prevent him from evolving when he starts, keeping pressing 'A' and 'B' back and forth during the evolution, that'll stop it.

I doubt I'll be using him much because he's going to start disobeying me more and more.

But I'll stop the evolution if he does start one.
