For those who don't remember the Highwind Meter, its just my rating of a movie I have seen recently, this one is about 300 of course. I seen it in theaters and sneaked in some beer.

300 is about an army of three hundred Spartans taking on the persians which had a army of millions. Its suppose to be a true story in mythological times. The king of Spartans starts out as a boy which shows how all Spartan boys were raised, and they were raised to be warriors, the strongest in all the land. Then the it gos into the persians trying to take all the land from many, but the King of sparta won't have his freedom gone, then it gets really interesting. Great battles and great special effects. It has really no famous actors in it which I really liked because it gives it more of a real feeling. Storyline was really good and the ENDING was unpredictable and very exciting, I heard there was gonna be a sequel and that I can't wait for.
For great battles, storyline, and just being a kickass movie I give it:

No it's before Alexander. This battle will allow Alexander the Great to later become the leader as it does save the Greeks. However the movie takes a lot off liberties. Historically it's not very accurate from what I've heard. Not even the story is very historically accurate. There were about 1000 soldiers that fought alongside the 300 Spartans. There were probably 10s of thousands of Persians instead of 1 Million.

This was an awesome movie. Personaly, I don't care how historicly accurate it is.

Blood levels in this movie were like, 13 out of 10.

How sad was it when ...

yeah i didn't think it was during Alexanders time, maybe just before, but yeah Alexander the great is a cool story in itself just not a underdog story like this..

Well i am going to bump this a little bit. I remember learning about this from my world history teacher, mr. glazebrook. "Historical records" do show estimates that say a million men for the persians. Although they were more likely than not hyped up quite a bit. I believe in actualality historians believe at least a 100,000 or more. Could be wrong. I have drank a lot inbetween then and now. The movie was good, the only problem was that i knew how it ended so it was like a road i had already driven. Good special effects tho. Very sin cityish

I didnt know how it would end, I just assumed the good guys won. For you it would almost like going and seeing titanic. We all know the ship is going to sink.

Personally I think this movie was just historically inaccurate trash. I mean, it wasn't JUST 300 soldiers against that whole army. Even if they had the will, there wasn't a way especially when they ran around in undies....

The movie actually was quite historically accurate. They didn't have just 300 soldiers in the movie. If you remember they had the other people. There were tho only 300 Spartans. Thats historically accurate. The size of the animals were exaggerated for reasons. The warriors the Egyptians were historically accurate(except for the clearly inaccurate Brute). The person who betrayed them although maybe not looks wise was accurate. The culture of Sparta was actually near on the dot accurate.

300 was an awesome. It really is some thing you can watch over and over because the action scenes are just amazing.

My brother was telling me about his graphical novels and then he started telling me about 300. I wasn't really interested but then I read about the true story and that got me interested. We went to see it in the cinema and it was brilliant. Yeah, some parts were over-exagerrated but alot of it is accurate (except the Spartan King having a Scottish accent). It's a great movie.

It was on the verge of unrealistic, but I think it was what made it more interesting than just a regular war movie. Never heard about a sequel, but I'll be sure to watch if it comes out.

The movie was pathetically inaccurate and the special effects were overdone and lousy
