I was having writers block, and this is one I got on a request, I was given the subject, and I had to write about it in my own way...

The prompt is below

"You're walking down the hallway and you surreptitiously take a used bottle from the recycled box to fill with water for practice after school. There's gum on the bottom of your shoe, and when you start to peel it off you notice the perfectly-preserved body of a dead ant stuck in it."

Eating a freshly made bagel
Which I received from the cafe
Walking down the hallway
I remembered physics class

We need to make bottle rockets
Propel them in the air
I want to get the record
I just walk and think

First I need a bottle
coupled with a plan
then more materials
and time to spare

I walk by JMG
Pick up a used bottle
Walk down the hallway again
Now I need a schematic

I step forward three more steps
and right outside the door
I notice a dozen ants
Marching to their hill

I feel a cramp
Take off my shoe
Notice one more ant
I peel it off and then I had a vision

A rocket that is long and sleek
and designed to take a hit
Stronger than the product looks
And one that needs respect

I thank the ant.

What the... Now, that was a bit confusing for me, but I do get what the poem says, mostly.

First of all, what is JMG? 

I just re-read the poem again, and now I completely get it. I guess I was reading a little too fast! =P

Still, what is JMG?

JMG is Jobs For Maine Graduates. It was a special education option for those who planned to enter the workforce after college I think, I barely knew much about it honestly.
