I believe this is a Sonnett? I'm not sure, I wrote this in my junior year of high school. I hope you enjoy it as always, as I continue my experimentation.

When I woken to a bright morning sky
I did peek outside and saw the sunlight
And then these eyes of mine they could not lie
Amazing grace, and my muscles got tight

Looked out the door and I never looked back
No changing my mind I needed to go
Me and myself were ahead of the pack
With no one to turn to if I got low.

I took my bags and left the holy land
Let go of my hate and started to run
I flew to the beach my feet in the sand.
My mind and my body will remain one

And so as I left I started to weep
My heart is now my very own to keep

Nevertheless, this is a nice, complex one! I actually do get what you mean, but it's too complex for me to describe via text, if you get what I mean.

im not to savvi with sonnets liek snowdeath but i liked the sonnet. not to sure what its about though, sounds like an adventure of some sort to a holy land? and missing the people you left behind
