Hiding in this boat.

Sailing in the concrete desert,
Looking for a new land

Letting imagination soar
Like an eagle in the sky
Sending our ship to new places every night

This is the Friend Ship.
We sail it every time we meet,
We go where no friends have gone before,

We share in the laughs,
The terrors,
Everything, we let it in.

We will one day grow old
We will one day even
Grow apart

But for now,
It's just you and me,
In our friend ship.

I came here to check out poems after reading your thread.  This poem here makes me reflect on the many people I have come in contact with.  I have had friends who moved away never to meet face-to-face with again, but not to fully separate.  Other friends, I learn more about them and vice versa as time goes and we see new things.  The one thing that has remained constant for me is that the Friend Ship I sail on has never been empty.  Through thick & thin, I have had friends with me regardless of the storms that blow over.  Thanks for sharing legecyme3.
