I thought the subspace emissary was quite a bit of fun. They had an alright story. The thing I don't like is how they went from SSB where the characters are toys in SSBM "Oh now they are trophies" And in brawl they just went to "there is a gun who turns people to trophies, there is an alternate dimension, and some blue guy who can blow up EVERYTHING!

I thought that the story was pretty bad I thought. If they had some voice acting, it would have been better. But it is fun, and I enjoyed playing it. It kept me playing SSBB longer when I was done with regular brawls.

I completed the whole thing in intense minus taboo.
Also when playing through the story the first time I was literally shocked when R.O.B. Was revealed as the ancient minister.
And what emotion he displayed when the subspace bomb factory was blown up.

The levels were made ok, but I thought most of the enemies look weird. I didn't like the levels enough to redo them,
although teaming up various heroes together was fun. I liked the cutscenes a lot. Link payed no attention to Yoshi, and
Fox is like "here's the next planet, what's my next mission?" and totally ignores Diddy Kong. ha ha

I thought it was pretty amazing, honestly. It's probably the best performed attempt at adding in a story mode for a simple fighting game, really. It had some pretty amazing cut-scenes in it that helped show off the overall potential the Wii had when you looked past its undesired resolutions, and it also was a great method of adding in un-lockable characters to the game. It was an overall genius addition to the Smash Bros franchise, Nya~.
