Allllllllllrighty den... Cid pissed me off in our last battle by autohitting, and instant deathing me... so here goes...

Bear in mind that you can allways make a battle titled (Custom Rules) and ignore everything except number 1. That should be kept regardless.

1. No flaming in out of character speach. To speak out of character... uh... do this ((OOC: speaking)) with two parenthesis... or something... and when in there, don't go being an a**h*** and cussing out the other person if you think they are cheating or something. However, your character can flame the other CHARACTER as much as he wants... But of course that's just the character, and don't make any wiseass remarks like "You're an idiot, and whoever made you must be too." because I'm watching you...

2. No Godmodding. This is the most common rule and you'll find it on every RP site there is! Godmodding means to ignore damage, dodge EVERY hit that comes your way, and just being plain an a**h***.

3. No auto hitting. This falls into the being plain cheap category... An auto hit is when you attack them, say that you hit them, and don't give them a chance to defend or dodge. For example

BAD: Jaxom slashed Alex's chest.
GOOD: Jaxom slashed AT Alex's chest.

Big difference... one is saying what you did, and the other is saying what happened to the opponet. Only your opponet can say if the attack hit, and don't worry, rule number 2 is protecting you from them exploiting this. This sorta ties into 4...

4. No controlling the opponet... If you have some kind of attack that follows up with a counter, then do my A or B or C type thing... No controlling your opponet at ALL unless you try to do a manipulation thing, and they SAY that it worked.

5. Have fun damnit! Why else would you play?

6. Try and describe your technique in as many words as possible... it keeps things interesting... You don't have to do this, but I'd appreciate it... I know that some of you aren't writers or poets. Of course if you want to hold your reputation of being one, then do so here.

7. Two on Two, Three on Three, Two on One, and Three on Two battles are allowed. So go nuts you tag teamers. On two on one battles the order goes like this. Partner1, Loner, Partner2, Loner. That way the Loner has a fighting chance.

8. Oh yeah, forgot to put this... No killing your opponet in one hit... If you have an attack that can do this, wait until the end and finish them with it.

9. Interferences, BAD!!! No outside interferences. You are allowed to post and say that you're watching, but an outsider interfering in the battle is NOT ALLOWED!!!

Well you see... these rules are for statless battles... theatrical stuff...

If you're gonna go by the hitpoints and such then you might as well make a battle hack.

Yea David, it was simple, easy and added some competition to it..

I still like the idea of a battle hack thing.

But yeah, once you get everything sorted out with the damage from weapons and whatnot (battle hack would kick ass), then it would be cool to bring that back. Like Shaddow said though, these rules are for statless battles, like the ones most prevailent at other boards.
