Which console do you like playing more and think is better?

I like playing Wii more simply because of movement. However, I like the PS3 better as a console. It has much more features and better games.

What about you?

I own both, but I have to say PS3. IT has better games, better online play, better features, it's better in almost every way aside from the fact that the Wii has more games that promote physical movement and training. 

If anyone here truly thinks Wii is the superior system, I will slap them down, here and now.* The PS3 is a better overall system. Their motion control is more reliable, their graphics are the best in the industry, their discs are better quality. And as I just told BNuge in another thread, it has superior exclusives.

this isn't a good comparison Ken. The Ps3 is way too high tech for the wii to handle. Sure you get movement, but eliminate that, and the wii ain't got nothin on the PS3. Hell, the Wii ain't got nothing WITH the movement.

I own both but I would say ps3 because the graphics are really great has great games even though wii has good games tatsunoko vs capcom wii  fit Mario kart wii fit but the wii is supposively made for family play

PS3 is much better as a console. The graphics on the PS3 are so great, that no game has actually "reached the cap" on it, technically. Games can still look way better then what we see, it's just that people can't actually design them better yet. And that's with the fact we can already see the pores or someone's skin, or count the individual chest hair's on someone. Graphics aside, the PS3 has much better online capabilities. It has two different controllers, one for normal gaming, and doesn't use the controller of an older system. This controller can be wireless without any extra cash, and is rechargeable. And the other one is like the wii mote anyways, but with a far more reliable sensor. The Six-axis controller can now even be used as a controller for computers. Also, unlike the wii, at least the original PS3's, they are armored to heck. The wii would die under a sledgehammer in one shot. Someone sledge-hammered a PS3 and it took him at least a good two to three minutes to at least somewhat bust the thing.

YourMajestyKen : its not really comparable.the wii focuses on fitness,family and friendly and downright rand6 games.there strategy seems to have been to go after a specific userbase.
If its a shooter or racer,or any other game thats on ps3,then ps3 will win.ps3 is definetly better but i can see why some prefer the wii.

I agree with the 1st post. 

Wii has so much potential for a entire new generation of RPG games, but they let sports/gaming games take over the selection.

PS3, I don't know. I don't own a PS3... I do own a PS2, and the selection for it before was great!

They're equal in my eyes. The PS3 is good for what the industry is considering "hardcore" gaming. The Wii is a good system with mountains of potential still hovering above it. I rarely use my Wii, and only use it for the Virtual console, but that's because I hate motion controls. I prefer the PS3 due to it have the control scheme I like, and the kinds of games I like. The Wii's games are fun, but they rarely keep my interest. The graphics are important, but both do what they can well. The Wii is good with the lower end graphics, and when done really well, they can look like they are life like. The PS3 has a powerful graphics processor, so it obvious has "better" graphics. The graphics are just more advanced, though.

Both the PS3 and the Wii are awesome and I own both. Reason being is that my Wii is modded and now I can play any GBA and SNES games on it if I download from my PC also I can make custom NSMBW levels with Reggie and play them using Riivolution. I love my PS3 for online play and the graphics and games are amazing. Both game consoles are my children, I can't possibly choose a favorite.

It really depends on what your needs are. PS3 is better for hardcore FPS gamers and people who like great graphics on their games. The Wii is for those that like innovative gameplay and Nintendo characters.

That being said, I would choose the Wii over the PS3. Mostly for the characters, but there are some really innovative things that they've done for the Wii like with Wii Sports and some adventure games like Twilight Princess. Plus, I don't see good graphics as something essential for someone who games. I guess I'm more biased towards Nintendo things anyways. But I would recommend the Wii to others over the PS3 anyways.

The Wii is almost over because they will put out the Wii U soon. The Wii is just an inferior system though, with substandard graphics on a "next-gen" system to very few new games as many are just new entries to already established series. I actually don't like the controls and find them to be confusing and not as tight as they should be. I don't like that most of the games are "kiddie" games and that most have no real story.
I know that to be a good game it doesn't have to be eighty plus hours and it doesn't have to be teen or mature, BUT the game just won't hold my attention without it having that gripping story line and situations that I find interesting.
Just wait for the Wii U to come out, with its high def and controller that's just like a PSP. Nintendo gamers will finally get their next-gen system years after the PS3 and Xbox360 have come out.

the ps3 is sooo much better than the wii, better games, better graphics, better gameplay, better online stuffs, better controls, the wii movement is really only good for certain games loads of games on the wii actually get hindered by the remote like sonic and the secret rings, it would be much easier with standard analogue control. Its got potential that its not fulfiling.

PS3 is an embarassment. Wii has Mario, Metroid, Zelda, and Smash Bros to name a few. PS3 has... do they even have anything worth mentioning? Oh yeah. They crammed a Blu-Ray Player into the system so that people will still pay money for their piece of junk.

I would go with PS3 since it has more fun stuff to do, but online stuff, i would go with Wii since that is more fun. Overall, I would pick PS3

anyway, I prefer the PS3's exclusives.

I'm not into mario, zelda, metroid, or any of those series, never really have been.

I'm more a fan of things like Uncharted, Little Big Planet, and MLB the Show series.

I own both and I prefer my PS3. I wish nintendo would make a non-motion control console. Gamecube and N64 and NES were all so good.
