You start off as the main character Lightning.
The beginning is rather slow, its mainly very linear path & all you do is follow the story.  Though this sounds very boring, you get to use multiple characters

Later in which you get to choice which
The upgrading system is rather impressive, both for items and character skills.  You have the ability to choose multiple ways & gain multiple skills.  It's a rather challenging game, I have yet to finish (unfourtunatly ) so I do not have much to say on this game, it's rather impressive & it's battle system can change during any moment in combat, I personally give this game a 8.5/10 due to the fact that you can beat the game
