Just a question for everyone how do you get rid of mold.

I live in a basement and it's been flooding alot lately.
We are moving soon but the mold is making my family sick.
I need too know how to get rid of it.

To keep mildew at bay, deny spores the moisture necessary for germination by controlling the humidity inside your house, preferably keeping it between 45% and 55%, and no higher than 65%. You may need to install dehumidifiers. Also keep air circulating, with fans, if necessary, and try to maintain a temperature between 64 degrees F to 68 degrees F, plus or minus five degrees. Repair leaking pipes, gutters and downspouts, cracked windows, a problem roof, deteriorated masonry, and cracked walls. Cleanliness of the environment is also important, as organic debris nourish spores.

Hope that helps some....

If the mold is bad/harmful, you need to hire a professional to take care of it.

Personally, if I find ANY kind of mold anywhere, I would just contact a professional.

Normally I would contact a professional, but I've heard that it comes in moist areas, so you probably want to make sure it's a clean environment with less humidity.

I'd listed to YMKs post as he explained if very nicely
