try thing for the ps2 then...its a horror/group survival and its pretty hard cause you have to keep your whole team alive and trusting each other....

I'll play one if it's gotten good reviews but I don't go out looking for the most scary game I can find.. that's pointless..

I've played Resident Evil Series and Doom3 a good bit though.

The Resident Evil games honestly don't scare me, same with Doom 3. (predictable, and the enemies to me just looked cool rather than "oh gross scary". But that's me, and most people do say these games scare them ...

I've played a bit of Silent Hill 2 ... but kind of stopped playing the game, don't know why though. Very freaking messed up series there, it's pretty scary with it's art style, but at the same time can be literaly sick and disgusting (there's one scene where this monster looks like it craps out another, and with the mouning sound effects I was like "wtf").


Also if you don't mind a game focused more on puzzle solving and story based, the Fatal Frame games are incredible (scarier than any game, and movie I've played / seen). But these games aren't like RE and Doom where it's "BAM" enemey in your face, didn't see that coming; they're more like physco thrillers that'll keep you up at night.

Resident evil games are the scaryest ass games i have ever played. THEY ROCK!

I don't really play most horror type games. I do know of a good one that I have played, Eternal Darkness. I don't know if you would really call it scary(sorta like RE), but the insanity effects were cool. RE4 looks like that will be scary, but they aren't really my type of games.

I love the Silent Hill series!!
I started to get bored with the resident evil series,it's still good,but...Code Veronica broke my fun of playing resident evil. I didn't try the 4 yet. Is it good? Anyone played it?

RE didn't scare me...it scared my brother out of his wits though...I would rather watch instead of play...Good game nonetheless. I played RE Nemesis once and s*** started jumpin out at me kinda made me jump a bit...but thats it...it only scares me if stuff just jump out at me...thats it...im hard to scare I guess.

I would like playing scary games..if there were any...same with scary movies..i would enjoy one if there was one...

I think its cuz you think into it too much. You have to let your mind run wild.

I've slowly gotten away from video games all together but I find "scary" games completely useless because most of the time they're so focused on being scary they come of as cheesey bad games.

Right-o Jin. That's exactly what happens most of the time. I don't think RE was meant to be scary. They have semi-scary story line and such but the game play doesn't fit into a scary one like possibly Silent Hill/Doom(I say possibly cuz I haven't played them). So yeah, they didn't focus on making it scary and the games are pretty good, cept the first which I couldn't stand due to the terrible voice acting. But I've seen/heard of some bad movies/games that fit exactly what you said.

REs are my fav. I also played Silent Hill, I heard Fatal Frame is really scary, it seems like a weird game though.

In my opinion I think the scariest game I've played would be Clock Tower 3...especially in the dark, when your into it, your heart pumps as if you were her...

Secondly would be Parasite Eve II because it rocks all around, shocking stuff, confusing, multi endings...me doing it the wrong way...yeah... THEY JUST ALL ROCK!

Games don't scare me... because games look too fake to me.

That just means Remlee that you don't get into it and observe the story, as in, becoming the person or being there..it makes games tons more of fun...holy cow it does.

I think by “girl with the camera” he might have meant Blair Witch… (Haven’t even seen the movie though, so I don’t know what I’m talking about.) Eternal Darkness scared me. I mean, SCARED me. But until that, the creepiest games I’d played were Parasite Eve and Metroid Prime, LOL… So you can imagine Eternal Darkness WOULD scare me! (I think at one point I was whimpering like Ellia when she goes insane. )
