I updated her ram chips and installed a bigger secondary hard dive.

Does anyone know if it is possible to update a processor or the primary hardrive? how would you get it to boot up?

What I did I think was relatviely simple, but where can I find instructions on how to do the biger jobs so to speak?

What have you done to yours?

I've built mine from scratch.

The CPU will depend on what type of motherboard you have and what socket that board uses.

The primary hard drive cannot be changed without re-installing windows or using some sort of imaging program. I'm not sure how it would work with Windows activation as you'd still have it on the same computer.

I'v done alot of stuff on my computer like that. I'm not a 100% sure but I believe you can update or upgrade your processor or the primary hard drive if you reinstall your windows or try installing the best image program you can find.

I'm not sure where to find instructions on how to do bigger jobs. But I bet if you typed that question into google then you could get tons of instructions and walkthroughs. There might even be a cool site giving insight on things like this.

I really enjoy computers and programming. I may not know everything but when I get out of homeschooling I'm thinking about going to collage for something like games/ programming computers or creating games.

As long as you don't have to change the motherboard I'm pretty sure you can replace the CPU and not have to install windows again.
