i have had glasses

I Have Glasses But No Braces. I Only Wear Them For Reading But I Should Really Wear Them All The Time. 

I've had braces in the past.  Have glasses now (wear them only when needed).

I had glasses in the 6th grade because I am far sighted.  
I only wore them for a little while though and haven't worn glasses ever since.

I've never had to wear braces an I only have to wear glasses for some things.
(I don't even really wear them but I should)

I have had braces in the past for around four years and I also have been wearing glasses for quite a few years. I broke my last pair and decided that I wanted to try out contacts (I loathed glasses at this point) and have been using contacts ever since.

I've never had to wear braces, although I am going to a dentist soon for the first time in a while so that might change. As for glasses, I just started wearing glasses about 2-3 weeks ago. Didn't really think that I needed em' and when I was with my other parent, I didn't really go to eye doctors and for check-ups and such, nor did I act excited to get them when I found out that I needed them, but secretly, I was kind of excited to get glasses. When I first put them on, I was like "WOAH! Everything is soo viviid.. " And I was walking around wide-eyed practically not blinking for that portion of the day (I got them after school and I only need to wear them outside). A lot of people wear glasses nowadays so there's no shame for me in wearing them and I like  the way that mine look and best of all, my vision is now excellent. BTW, I actually used to have really good eye-sight, like above average eye-sight, but then I was introduced to the computer back in the 6th grade... It was all down hill from there.. Went for years 8-11 grade without realizing that my vision would be so much better with glasses and now I am very glad that I have them. Only problem is keeping the lenses clear, because my glasses came with a case, but not the lens  cloth that most people use to clean their lenses and computer screens. And I've found that wiping on my shirt doesn't really do wonders...

I could have really used braces when I was younger.

Parents couldn't afford it though, since my sister had gotten them.

So here I am, adult with fairly stunted teeth.

Ah well. I've made do, and I've realized that there isn't all that much I can do about it, so I don't let it bother me.


I wear glasses all the time, which I'm also okay with. I like how I look with them more than without, so all good there.

A friend recommended I get contacts, especially since I run and jump and climb all the time. I may at some point... Just to try, but they'd be pretty cheap ones.

I have never had braces, glasses or contacts. Though the doctor said I will get Braces when I am 12, just like lots of people will. Is having Braces any good?

JoshPokemon : If what my Sister said when she had them is true: the worst part of them is that you can't eat really hard food, such as carrots. Which she really didn't like at all, since her favourite food is corn on the cob.

I have 6 contact lens I'm currently wearing one as for my other eye it don't need any to see.

Well I've had contacts and I also wear glasses too. As for braces I never worn them.

I have had braces. I hated them because they would hurt so much, I'm glad I got them, because my teeth still look near perfect. I was so happy when I was done with them.
I don't have glasses, but I do have contacts. I was lucky enough that I did not wear glasses at the same time as braces.

I had braces on my top teeth only for about a year. After that I had to wear a retainer for another year after that.

I have no reason to wear contacts or eyeglasses since my eyesight is still very good.

I had braces about 2 years ago because of a big space I used to have in between my front teeth, however after getting them removed I had to keep a retainer to use at night. I use glasses because I can't see very far and they are transition lenses because my eyes are incredibly weak to the sun. Whenever my glasses aren't around I use brown contacts to protect me from the sun due to the dark shade and to hide my eye color from people as to not cause a commotion.

I guess that means I've covered all your bases!

Belinni, just wondering, do you have albinism?

I used to know a girl, who had to wear sunglasses during the school day, because just the whiteness of the paper itself was harmful to her eyes or something of the sort. I never found out what was the actual problem with her though.

I'm supposed to get braces within a couple of months or so. I am kinda excited, but kinda not because I don't want to have to sound like crap when I'm talking.
