Long story short...I sleep with my laptop on my bed. I accidentally fell asleep with a cup of ice on my bed...woke up to it literally on my laptop keyboard WITHOUT the ice. So now my laptop is making strange noises, pressing keys on it's own and multiple other things. However, it still turns on and off when I shut it down, the mouse works.....so my question is....is my laptop completely destroyed? Any advice or ideas what I should do? I'd gladly appreciate it.

YourMajestyKen : ah,that sucks,it would have been fine if it hadnt been on.obviously its either 1-still got water in it or 2,the waters caused something to break and that part will need replaced.
Some times if you let these things air out it works fine.
I left my window open and the rain went in my pc,i took the casing off and let it air for a few days and it was fine.my phone also got wet at one point and i stupidly turned it back on,it stoped working 5 minutes later.
Id take the laptop shell away if possible to let any water out and help it air,then turn it on after a day or so,if its still not right you'l just have to get someone to check it all out.

I don't know if You could do this with a laptop but you can do it with other eletronics and it works again. Right when You get something wet, take a plastic bag fill it with rice and put that in it. Sometimes it works sometimes it dosent.

Bintsy : Actually I did hear about that. I fear the rice getting inside the laptop spaces and getting stuck. I haven't done anything so far....except take the battery out, left it untouched and upside down. I'll wait a few more days and hopefully all works. If not then I don't know what else to do. Thank you both for your opinions.
