I was gonna say that:

"I don't know and I don't care."

Honestly, I think apathy is worse. You can't blame someone for not learning something if their peers or their parents or whomever never taught them things. Ignorance is cultural and educational and can be corrected.

When people don't act because they don't feel like it, the blame falls on their shoulders. Apathy is worse than ignorance.

I am gonna have to second warmaker on this one, apathy is by far worse. Ignorance can be annoying, but you are not ignorant on purpose. If you have the chance to lose your ignorance and you refuse though... well... then that is just sad.

So I suppose I should then ask, what is worse: apathy or willful ignorance (it isn't that you don't care to learn, it is that you flat our refuse)?

If you are ignorant, you don't know, that may not even be your fault, if it is, oh well, you just aren't intellectually interested.

However, I disagree with some of the comments. Ignorance can and often is your fault. This is the Internet Age. There's so much information available at our fingertips. Any functional member of society is able to take advantage of this. There is no excuse that something can't be done about ignorance during this day and age.
