....You Cant use an xbox controller on online roms for Gameboyz,n64 etc. or maybe u can i really dont know. go ask a RGR mod it might help. to me i think no , correct me if im wrong

Because Xbox is a Microsoft product, you shouldn't need to download anything to run it. Plugging it in should be enough. If it doesn't work for some reason, you may need to download Xpadder. See this thread for details:

thanks tRIUNE, but i now have a new problem. there is no sound when the controler is pluged in, but when i take it out i can hear the music i have playing. the game stops and i hear a bing type noise, the moment i unplug and plug it back in. your help is greatly appreciated.

There could be a few solutions, but my guess for your situation is either you can plug in a headset in the controller's jack, or if your main audio input is set to the controller instead of your sound card, then switch it in your Sounds and Audio Devices directory.

I checked the settings and couldnt find "main audio input", and didnt change any settings. I started a game up with the keyboard and sound, hooked up the controler, then reloaded the game and I could finally hear my speakers. thanks
